Congratulations !!! «Physics and Astronomy» - top 551-600 in the QS World University Ranking by Subject!
On February 27, 2019 the QS agency (United Kingdom) published the results of the 2018 QS World University Rankings by Subject. According to the results, for the first time the subject “Linguistics” was ranked as well as “Physics and Astronomy”.
The subject “Physics and Astronomy” was ranked top 551-600, while the number of universities participating in the ranking increased. If in 2017, 1159 universities of the world were analyzed, then in 2018 1244 universities. It is worth to note that the subject “Physics and Astronomy” of ENU is the only one among Kazakhstani universities.
High rates of this subject traditionally belong to such criteria as “Citation” and “Hirsch Index”.
It is necessary to take into account that for each subject of weight the criteria are different, however for both subjects the reputation among academic experts is the most significant 40% “Physics and Astronomy” and 80% “Linguistics”.
