Today, the Republican Center for Space Communications is the leading enterprise carrying out communications activities in the telecommunications market of Kazakhstan. The company includes the Akkol Space Communications Center and the Kokterek Space Communications Center. JSC "Republican Center for Space Communications" was established on March 18, 2004 in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 1355 of December 30, 2003.
Since May 2012, she has been performing the functions of the national operator of the space communication system of Kazakhstan. The strategic tasks include the provision of technical operation of the space communication system, the provision of services for the provision of spacecraft transponders.
During the visit, students learned about the structure, tasks and functions of the enterprise. The head of the RCSC voicing the information to the students that the first Kazakhstani satellite constellations of the KazSat series were developed and put into orbit by the specialists. The center is equipped with the latest technological equipment. The complex is fully operated in its mode of operation. All systems are autonomous, independent and designed to continuously perform the tasks of management, control and maintenance of specified technical and ballistic characteristics.
In addition to introductory lectures, students were given the opportunity to go on a live broadcast with the Center for Space Communication "Akkol". A preliminary agreement was reached on the creation of new joint projects to improve the skills of students for the space industry.
