On April 13, 2018 the team of the Department of "Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications" took the third place at the Republican interdisciplinary student's Olympiad, in the disciplines: the theory of electrical circuits, electronics and analog circuitry, the fundamentals of radio engineering and telecommunications, digital devices and a microprocessor. The Olympiad was held at the S.Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University, where 41 students from 14 universities of Kazakhstan participated. The composition of the Eurasian University is as follows: Serikbai Araylym, Mukhamedia Azamat, Samigullin Shyngys (junior students of the specialty "Radio engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications." Including Serikbai Arailym, who took 3rd place and was awarded a diploma.

The Olympic team also included junior of the department of "Radio engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications" Shain Roman and Risbayev Nursultan as an Olympic reserve team.
