April 10, 2018 in the framework of the traditional annual Decade of Science of ENU. L.N. Gumilyov at the Faculty of Physics and Technology held a contest for the best scientific idea among students and undergraduates.

On March 28, 2018 in the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi held the X Republican student's subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
