"The leader of science - Web of Science Awards": scientists of the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilyov - the most highly cited Kazakhstan authors

  Scientists of the Eurasian National University Ratbay Myrzakulov, Irina Irgibayeva, Dinara Birimzhanova won the independent award “Science Leader - Web of Science Awards” as highly cited Kazakhstani authors according to the international information and analytical platform Web of Science.

A significant event was held at ENU. L.N. Gumilyov on September 20, 2018 at the award ceremony of the "Leader of Science" prize, held by the international company Clarivate Analytics.

During the solemn event, the Acting Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erkin Sadykov, Managing Director of Clarivate Analytics for Emerging Markets, Viji Krishnan, Managing Director of Clarivate Analytics for Russia and the CIS, Oleg Utkin, Vice Rector for Research the work of Gulnara Merzadinova and others.

The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scientific, educational and economic circles of Kazakhstan, as well as reputable foreign experts.
On this day, 7 researchers and 8 organizations were also identified as leaders following the analysis of publication activity and citation of scientific works in the Web of Science Core Collection database.

 

Ratbay Myrzakulov was recognized by the Kazakhstan author of a highly cited publication in the subject area “Physics”, and Irina Irgibaeva and Dinara Birimzhanova received recognition in the field of “Chemistry”.

Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Academician Ratbay Myrzakulov, Head of the Department "General and Theoretical Physics" is the owner of many awards and prizes in the field of science.

Among his achievements is the K.I.Satpayev award for the best research in the natural sciences for a series of scientific papers on the topic “Integrated spin models with self-consistent potentials”.

The State Prize in the field of science and technology named after Al-Farabi for his work on the topic “Development of the theory of gravity to describe the properties of the real universe, contributing to the entry of Kazakhstan’s fundamental science to the level of advanced achievements in the world” was presented to the scientist by President Nursultan Nazarbayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Along with this, the famous physicist is a multiple winner of the Top Springer Author award in the field of science and technology. In 2015, Springer publishing house named Professor Myrzakulov the most published scientist in Central Asia and awarded the first prize “Top Springer Author - 2015” for the largest number of scientific articles published in specialized rating scientific journals by Springer.

Academician Ratbay Kagazovich Myrzakulov also won the first independent “Leader of Science” award for high scientometric indicators (Hirsha index and citation index) and for the largest number of articles published in foreign journals with high impact factor, based on data from Thomson Reuters (Web of Science).

Professor Myrzakulov has been holding the lead for several years in a row in the General Ranking of University Teachers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, TOP-30, prepared on the basis of the Independent Accreditation Agency Rating.

Irina Irgibayeva, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor. Works on research in the field of fluorescent organic materials.The scientific papers of Irina Smailovna were published in international journals JACS, The International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, Journal of Fluorescence. Among the scientific achievements of the scientist - the title of "Honored Worker of Science", as well as "The best teacher of Kazakhstan."

Dinara Birimzhanova, PhD in chemical sciences, specializes in the field of organic synthesis, as well as fluorescent compounds. Published in international journals JACS, The International journal of quantum chemistry.
