ENU recognized as the most cited university

The solemn ceremony of awarding the Scopus Award 2018 was held on November 13 in Astana. The prestigious award was presented to four scientists of the Eurasian National University. In the list of the most cited authors: Director of the Institute of Cell Biology and Biotechnology, Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics of the ENU. N.Gumilev, academician Rakhmetkazhy Bersimbay;Head of the Department of General and Theoretical Physics, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Academician Ratbay Myrzakulov;head of the laboratory of engineering profile ENU. L.N. Gumilyov and director of the Astana branch of the Institute of Nuclear Physics Maxim Zdorovets, as well as the young scientist Moldir Seydina.

A separate prestigious award Scopus was awarded the Eurasian National University as a university with a high number of citations. It is worth noting that two scientific journals of the ENU. L.N. Gumilev are included in the Scopus database. The diploma from the vice-minister of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aymagambetov received the vice-rector for international relations and innovations of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov Baubek Somzhurek. 

The award ceremony was held with the participation of Askhat Aymagambetov, Vice-Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Managing Director of Elsevier Publishing House Typhoon Bashal, Scopus Director Kun van der Krogt, Regional Director for the Russian Federation and CIS countries, Times Higher Education University World Rating Agency Elsevier Central Asia Regional Director Alia Ospanova.

During the direct connection from London, Zoya Zaitseva, Regional Director of the Quacquarelli Symonds rating agency for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, congratulated.

The event was also attended by the vice-rector for research work of ENU Gulnara Merzadinova, director of the department of science and innovations Erik Nurmoldin and acting director of the department of international cooperation Anastasia Karmelyuk.

The event included a training seminar for authors, editors of scientific journals, as well as the first seminar in Kazakhstan, the leading university rating agency Times Higher Education.
