The city Olympiad “Garyshtyk start” was held among pupils of 10-11

classes

On January 19, 2019 there was a “Garyshtyk start” city competition

organized by the Department of “Space technique and technologies” at L.N.

Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The Olympiad is planned to be held

among high school students.

The main purpose of the competition is to arouse interest of young people in

space science, aerospace, astronomy and space research, advanced space

technology in the country, and propagate department specialties for graduates.

The Olympiad is focused on showing the deep knowledge of students in

astronomy, physics, informatics and mathematics through interdisciplinary

communication.

105 pupils from 9 schools of Astana successfully passed the first round of

the Olympiad, 47 of them advanced to the second round. The department issued

certificates and gifts to all participants. According to the results of the second
